Beeside Balcony Del Mar: A Scenic Culinary Haven in Del Mar, CA

Fun trendy themed place with a great view of PCH and distant ocean. Nice upstairs large balcony dining. Dog friendly patio. Service was warm and attentive. Food was good, but not amazing. I was surprised there weren’t more bee themed menu choices. We did have an actual bee come visit our table though. And they sell small jars of local honey for a reasonable price. My daughter tried the fish tacos (yummy) and I had the veggie scramble (very good). I had the Rose Sangria (nice) my daughter had a local craft brew IPA (always good). Overall we had a lovely relaxing lunch with wonderful service. Tables are close, so good chance you’ll chat up your nearby neighborhoods, especially if you both have dogs.

Always always always great food and service. Love it there! Our server Matthew was great today too. The gyro and the hummus appetizer plate are always good and so are both octopus dishes!!

Great service with a cool view as well. Got here just in time for happy hour and got to taste some of their food at a great deal. The rosemary fries with truffle ketchup were delicious. The meatballs were fantastic too. Cocktails were well made and their honey beer is a must try! Definitely will return when in the area.

Overall, very tasty and great service. We ordered the dip trip while the eggplant dip lacked flavor the tasziki and hummus were full of flavor. I didn't care for the richness of the pita. It tasted like it was doused in butter. The scallops were plum and perfectly cooked. The smore dessert was unique and delicious. The view from the balcony is not to be missed. Especially if dining at sunset.

Had a lovely experience here and the food and drink were amazing! I had the sea bass entree and the lavender mocktail. The atmosphere and views are absolutely lovely. Really lovely spot and wonderful service. Will be coming back.

Beeside balcony is a very nice restaurant near the ocean! I came here for Valentine's Day and got a reservation a month in advanced. They called me a few days before to confirm the reservation. When I came in, it was a bit crowded but got seated in about 5-7 minutes after checking in. Food was awesome! My girlfriend and I started with the trio of dips which was awesome. The dips was an artichoke dip, a creamy spicy dip and a tzatziki sauce. I ordered the lamb which was cooked perfectly medium rare and the jidori chicken was flavorful with great potato's. Service was great! Our waiter was named Greg and he was very kind and polite. My girlfriend initially ordered the lamb and didn't like it after the first bite (wasn't her preference) and he was kind enough to comp it and get her the jidori chicken which was a lot better for her. Bathrooms are a bit of a walk. We went at night and it was a weird hallway outside but once there, the bathrooms were clean and bright. Parking is limited. They have designated parking in a garage underneath that has a limit of 2 hours but it was packed for me. So I did street parking which wasn't bad but it was on top of the hill. Free parking for both tho. Overall, a great place and would definitely come back during the day to enjoy the seaside view!

We came for brunch and the view. We ordered the Bee's board, chicken sandwich, Seaside sandwich, and kids hamburger. The food was fantastic. We look forward to coming back in the future!
